Belkania ( Greek Βελκανία ; Latin Belcania ) is a place name that Ptolemaios used in his Geographia set of coordinates created around 150 as one of the places ( πόλεις ) in ancient Greater Armenia with 73 ° 30 'longitude ( Ptolemaic longitudes ) and 39 ° 40' Width is specified.

After Adolf Baumgartner was Belkania a city of Greater Armenia near the Thospitis , the area of Lake Van , and was between the rivers Euphrates and Tigris , west of the ancient Corduene .
