The Bell Glacier is a glacier on the Banzare coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It flows north to Maury Bay , which it reaches immediately east of the Blair Glacier .
The American cartographer Gardner "Gard" Dean Blodgett (* 1925) mapped it in 1955 using aerial photographs taken during Operation Highjump (1946–1947) of the United States Navy . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Thomas G. Bell, boatswain on the sloop USS Peacock during the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) led by polar explorer Charles Wilkes .
