Belmiro Silva

Belmiro Silva (born June 12, 1954 in Ovar ) is a former Portuguese cyclist .

His active career lasted from 1974 to 1986. Among other things, he was national champion in the sprint on the track and was successful with his team three times in the Portuguese road cycling championships in the team time trial. Silva won a total of five stages of the Tour of Portugal and in 1978 also secured the overall ranking. In the same year he took part in the UCI road world championships at the Nürburgring . In addition, he is the record winner of the Algarve Tour Council and participated in four events of the International Peace Tour ; his best result was a 12th place overall.
