Belodontichthys is a genus of fish from the family of the real catfish (Siluridae), which includes two species found in Southeast Asia.
features
The fish are 60 cm to one meter long and have an elongated body with a small dorsal fin and an elongated anal fin . The head is directed upwards at an angle of about 60 °, with the tapering snout protruding above the height of the back. The upper jaw has a long pair of barbels , the lower jaw a short pair of barbels . The belly is flat and the back narrow, so that the body has a triangular cross-section at the level of the pectoral fins . The pectoral fins are long and have a long base.
