Ben ter Veer (born December 20, 1935 - October 10, 2004 ) was a Dutch psychologist and peace researcher . He became known from 1977 to 1985 as chairman of the Interchurch Peace Council (IKV) and co-organizer of the Dutch peace movement .

Ter Veer was a representative of the Catholic peace organization Pax Christi in the IKV. He was an employee of the Polemological Institute of the Rijksuniversiteit van Groningen . In June 1981 he read the call for a peace demonstration in Bonn's Hofgarten at the German Evangelical Church Congress in Hamburg in 1981 .
