Benedict Titz

Benedict Titz (born December 9, 1818 in Merzdorf; † 1893 ) was a German Catholic pastor and parliamentarian.

Life

Benedict Titz studied Catholic theology at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University in Breslau . In 1839 he became a member of the Corps Silesia Breslau . In 1842 he was ordained a priest . In 1858 he became pastor in Laßwitz near Ottmachau , Grottkau district . There he also worked as a district school inspector. Most recently he was pastor in Eckersdorf near Namslau .

From 1859 to 1861 Titz sat as a member of the constituency Opole 9 in the Prussian House of Representatives . In 1859 he belonged to the Catholic faction , which in 1860 was renamed Fraktion des Zentrums.
