Benedikt (Bendix) von Ahlefeldt († 1698 ) was lord of Haseldorf , Haselau and holder of the Danebrog Order .

Life

Benedikt von Ahlefeldt was the eldest son of Detlev von Ahlefeldt and owned the Haselau and Haseldorf estates and received the Saxon Gamich and Meischau estates through marriage. Until 1678 he was Chamberlain and Privy Court and Justice Councilor in the Saxon service. In 1678 he entered the princely Gottorpian service and became district administrator and bailiff of Reinbek and Tondern (1692–1698). He was a Knight of the Danebrog Order. His first wife, whom he married on July 21, 1674 in Haselau Castle, was Johanna Magdalena von Hanau, owner of the Gamich and Meischau estates and the daughter of August von Hanau and Maria Brandin von Lindau. She died on May 15, 1675 after giving birth to her first child. After the death of his first wife, Benedikt von Ahlefeldt married Maria Elisabeth von Moltke, the daughter of Claus Levin von Moltke auf Warleberg and Adelheid von Buchwald. She died in 1722 as the mother of seven children, including Christian Albrecht von Ahlefeldt .
