Detlev von Ahlefeldt (* 1612 ; † November 8, 1686 in Hamburg ) was the master of Haseldorf , Haselau , Kaden , and holder of the Danebrog Order and the Order of the Elephants .

Life

Detlev von Ahlefeldt , Herr auf Haseldorf, Haselau and Kaden was born in 1612. On May 1, 1652 he was appointed bailiff of Flensburg, which he held until 1680. In a certificate of a royal rescript from 1653 he is confirmed as bailiff of Flensburg, district administrator and colonel. During the Swedish War from 1657 to 1663 he served as General War Commissioner for the duchies. In 1658, as the Danish envoy to the Kurbrandenburg and Royal Polish Courts, he signed an offensive alliance with Brandenburg against Sweden. In 1659 he was again a colonel at the head of his cavalry regiment. In 1660 he acted as envoy in Berlin. On July 11, 1661, he took the oath of homage in Gottorp. On April 21, 1663, he went to Koenigsberg to the court of the Elector of Brandenburg to negotiate in matters of the former Danish imperial court master Corfiz von Ulfeld . In 1666 he signed a defensive contract for eight years with the Elector of Brandenburg. On December 31, 1666, he accompanied Princess Anna Sophie of Denmark , the daughter of King Friedrich III. , married to the Elector Johann Georg III. from Saxony to Dresden and stayed at the court there during the winter. In 1667, as envoy at the court of Kassel, he regulated the marriage of the Crown Prince of Denmark to Princess Charlotte Amalie of Hesse-Kassel and received the elephant order on the day of the wedding on June 25, 1667. In 1672 he became Royal Privy Councilor and in 1678 he went again as envoy to the Kursächsischer Hof and in 1679 to the Kurbrandenburgische.

In 1680, at his request, he was relieved of all his offices and retired to Hamburg, where he died on November 8, 1686. His wife was Ida von Pogwisch , born on September 15, 1619 and died on October 31, 1679. She was a daughter of Siegfried von Pogwisch auf Hagen, Haselau and Kaden and Magdalena von Pogwisch from the House of Farve, and brought her to her husband Haselau and Kaden property as a dowry. He had five children with her, including Christine von Ahlefeldt .
