Christine von Ahlefeldt

Christine Countess von Dernath b. von Ahlefeldt (* 1643 ; † 1691 ) was the Chief Chamberlain and Minister of the Electress of Electorate of Saxony .

Life

Christine von Ahlefeldt was the daughter of Detlev von Ahlefeldt and Ida von Pogwisch (1619–1679). She enjoyed an excellent upbringing by private tutors and governesses and in 1675 she was court master and later house and cabinet minister of the Electress of Saxony.

On November 20, 1665 she married Gerhard Reichsgraf von Dernath (1622–89), Baron von Corters and Hofen, Electoral Saxon Privy Council and War Council, and Field Marshal. With the wedding she became the ancestor of all Holstein Counts of Dernath.
