The cemetery of Ilsfeld in the district of Heilbronn in northern Baden-Wuerttemberg was created in the 15th century.

The original burial place in Ilsfeld was around the Bartholomäuskirche . The current cemetery was probably created in the 15th century, probably in connection with the construction of the village wall, on what was then the northern edge of the village. The cemetery was expanded for the first time in the 16th century, and numerous deaths from a plague epidemic were probably the cause. Up until the time of the Reformation , the Ilsfeld cemetery was also Auenstein's burial site , and the Schozach dead were also buried there until a cemetery was established in Schozach in 1895.

A morgue was built in the cemetery in 1958. A second cemetery expansion took place in 1960 after the place had grown rapidly after the Second World War. In 1980 the community, which has owned the cemetery since 1901, acquired an adjacent former gardening site for further expansion.

The cemetery is surrounded by a historic wall, the wrought-iron gate was renewed in 1964 based on designs by the artist Schimpf from Leinfeld. Hans Epple from Flein designed the architectural decorations on the morgue .

One of the well-known personalities buried in the Ilsfeld cemetery is Friederike Kerner († 1817), the mother of Justinus Kerner . Several historical tombs of Ilsfeld's mayor have been preserved on the cemetery wall . On the north side of the main path there is a cemetery of honor with memorials for those who died in the First and Second World Wars.
