Justin Keen
Justin Keen (born August 4, 1975 in Epping ) is a former British racing driver .
Career
Keen began his motorsport career in 1993 in the British Formula Ford . The Briton stayed in this championship for three years and was twice fifth (1993, 1995) and once third (1994) in the overall standings. In 1996 he switched to the American Formula Ford. Due to an accident, he had to pause the entire 1997 season and then returned to Europe in 1998. He competed in Formula Palmer Audi for three years . After finishing ninth in 1998 and sixth in 1999, he was runner-up in Formula Palmer Audi in 2000.
In 2001 Keen switched to the international Formula 3000 championship . After two races, however, he was again without a cockpit, as his Kid Jensen Racing team withdrew from Formula 3000. In the overall standings he was 28th. In 2002 he returned to Formula 3000 for the last three races of the season and this time started for the European Minardi F3000 racing team supervised by Coloni . The Brit took over from Alexandre Sperafico . Although Keen never made it into the points and finished 18th overall with two ninth places as the best results, he was the most successful Minardi driver this season.
In 2003 Keen turned his back on formula racing and took part in two races of the FIA Sports Car Championship , in which he finished 14th overall, and in a race in the American Le Mans Series . In 2004 he took part in some races of the British Touring Car Championship and finished 19th overall. In the following two years he competed in a total of three races in the Le Mans Series and in 2006 also competed in two races of the Mégane Trophy Eurocup .
At the end of 2006, Keen ended his career as an active racing driver.
