José Benito Rosales

Benito Rosales (* 1795 in Granada (Nicaragua) , † 1850 ) was from November 1833 until March 10, 1834 Director Supremo province Nicaragua and 2 March 1849 to 1 April 1849 Director Supremo of Nicaragua .

Life

José Benito Rosales studied law and was dean of the Universidad de Oriente in Granada. He was a member of the Partido Legitimista .

After Agustín de Itúrbide abdicated, Rosales was a member of the constituent assembly, Asamblea Nacional Constituyente de las Provincias Unidas de centro América , which began to meet in September 1823. Other MPs from Nicaragua were: Manuel Barbereno, Toribio Arguello, for León: Manuel Mendoza, for Matagalpa: Filadelfo Benavente, for Rivas: José Manuel de la Cerda.

José Benito Rosales published the newspaper El Ojo del Pueblo, Revista Conservadora del Pensamiento Centroamericano in Granada in the printing house Imprenta de La Libertad with two columns and four pages in which he spoke out in favor of Managua in the dispute over the seat of government .
