Benjamin Besnard (born December 29, 1992 ) is a Swiss football player who plays in the position of a striker .
Career
Benjamin Besnard's father, Gilles Besnard , and uncle Pascal Besnard were both professional footballers and played for Servette FC Genève .
Besnard played in his youth at Lancy FC , a Geneva suburb club. In 2010 he got his first professional contract with Lancy FC. After one season he was transferred to FC UGS Genève , where he first drew attention to his goal threat. In 24 games he scored 14 goals. After further positions in western Switzerland, he was signed by Servette FC Genève , where his father and uncle had also played. He immediately became an important player on the offensive and received offers from the Super League after the first year , all of which he declined.
