Benjamin Maas (born January 23, 1989 in Schwäbisch Hall ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

After his youth stations, Maas moved from VfB Stuttgart U19 to the third division squad of SV Sandhausen in 2008 , but never played. In the 2009/10 season he played for 1899 Hoffenheim II in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg and participated in their promotion to the Regionalliga Süd 2010/11 , where he moved within the league from Hoffenheim to Fürth for SpVgg Greuther Fürth II . After two successful seasons in the fourth division, Maas was tested with third division club SV Darmstadt 98 and then signed.

On August 3, 2012, Maas played his first game in the 3rd division for SV Darmstadt 98 when he came on for Benjamin Gorka in the 73rd minute against Preußen Münster .

After the 2017/18 season, he announced that he would end his career due to persistent knee problems.

Benjamin Maas has been a coach at the newly founded club Celtic Worms since the 2019/20 season.
