Benjamin Schachor
Benjamin Schachor ( Hebrew בנימין שחור; * 1916 in Jerusalem ; † November 26, 1979 ) was an Israeli politician.
Life
Benjamin Schachor received a religious education. In 1929 he was a member of the Bne Akiwa and became one of its leaders. In 1939 he was one of the founders of the Bne Akiwa Jeschiwa in Kfar Haroeh (כְּפַר הָרֹאֶ"ה). From 1959 to 1974 Schachor was a member of the Knesset of the national religious party ( Mafdal ). He was appointed Deputy Minister for Religious Services on February 1, 1966 and held this office until November 17, 1969.
