Benndorf is a deserted village in the district of the hamlet Mötzelbach the town of Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel in Saalfeld-Rudolstadt in Thuringia .

history

As early as 1217, pastor Heinrich was commissioned by the chief clergyman of the town church in Rudolstadt to carry out the early masses and vicars with his acolytes in the town of Benndorf. In the chronicle of the district of Kirchhasel, reference is made to the village of Benndorf, located on the northeastern hill. Lack of water with the following drought and drought were the reasons for the departure of the farmers in the lower-lying villages. The village therefore fell desolate.
