Bennett's Pond State Park is a state park in the area of Ridgefield in the US state of Connecticut .

In 1914 , the aluminum foil magnate and tree lover Louis D. Conley designed a country estate with 1,000 acres of land, which he called Outpost Farm . The property grew to become one of the premier tree nurseries on the east coast of the United States . Today you can find various rare trees that he planted, although most of the other remnants of the estate and the 34-room country house have disappeared. Bennett's Pond is connected by small streams to the nearby Wataba Pond (Rainbow Pond) and itself drains to the Saugatuck River . To the north joins the Wooster Mountain State Park . In the park there are opportunities to hike, fish, ride bicycles and at certain times of the year there are opportunities to hunt with a bow and arrow.
