Benno Kaufhold

Benno Kaufhold (born March 16, 1953 in Hüpstedt ) is an engineering scientist and German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Kaufhold attended schools in Hüpstedt and Mühlhausen , where he graduated from high school in 1971. This was followed by studying information technology at the TH Ilmenau from 1973 to 1977 with subsequent employment at the TH / TU until 1994. Kaufhold received his doctorate there in 1981, followed by his habilitation in 1987.

In 1990 Kaufhold joined the CDU and from 1990 to 1994 he was district administrator of the Ilmenau district . From 2006 to 2012 he was again the district administrator of the Ilm district .

Kaufhold is married and lives in Stützerbach near Ilmenau.
