Benno Mugdan
Benno Mugdan (born February 15, 1851 in Kempen (Posen) , † November 14, 1928 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer . He was a member of the chamber judge in Berlin.
Benno Mugdan came from a merchant family originally based in Kempen ( province of Posen ). His cousins included the doctor, social politician and member of the Reichstag, Otto Mugdan, and the Berlin city councilor and city elder Leo Mugdan .
Mugdan graduated from the Elisabet-Gymnasium in Breslau in 1870 , where he stated that he wanted to study medicine. However, he became a lawyer and was from 1878 district judge in Wollstein , from 1879 district judge in Bentschen and from 1886 district judge in Berlin ; in March 1896 he became a member of the chamber judge in Berlin and in 1903 belonged to the fifth civil senate responsible for commercial matters. He was best known as the editor and editor of the entire materials for the Civil Code for the German Empire . In it he summarized the plenary minutes of the Reichstag on the deliberations on the civil code . Even today, the entire material can be used as an aid to interpretation in the context of historical interpretation .
