Benoit Okolo Okonda

Benoit Okolo Okonda (born June 2, 1947 in Lodja ) is a Congolese philosopher and professor of philosophy at the University of Kinshasa .

Life

Okolo Okonda studied philosophy at the Lubumbashi University and, after completing his doctorate, completed a two-year research course at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg .

Act

Okolo is one of the most prominent Congolese and African philosophers of the 20th century. His theory is based on hermeneutics and tradition. Okola justified his theory through his reception of Heidegger and Gadamer , which was almost exclusively limited to “ Being and Time ” and “ Truth and Method ”.
