Raúl Benzo

Raúl Benzo (born December 8, 1967 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan writer .

Benzo, who also studied art under Edgardo Ribeiro , among others , earned a degree in art history ( Licenciatura ) from the Faculty of Humanities and Education (FHCE) of the Universidad de la República . There he also works as a lecturer. Benzo's book El umbral de Edaf , published in 1990, received a special mention the previous year by the Intendencia Municipal of Montevideo in the competition in the category of unpublished works. In 1991 his story Bull Shit appeared in the American magazine Hispámerica . It was previously part of the Mas vale nunca que tarde anthology . Benzo, who also took part in the 1993 Congress of Young Writers ( Congreso de Escritores Jóvenes ) in Málaga, Spain , directed the magazine Tranvías y Buzones .
