Berardino "Dino" Capocchiano (born August 16, 1965 in Zapponeta ) is a former Italian football player . The striker was active in both Italy and Germany.

Career

Capocchiano began playing football in his home country before moving from amateur club AC Carugate to TSV Havelse in the Oberliga Nord in 1987 . He played there for two years and was signed in 1989 by league rival Arminia Bielefeld . After only one year at the Bielefelder Alm , he returned to TSV Havelse, which had meanwhile been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . In the 1990/91 season he scored 14 goals in 35 games, making him the record scorer for the club in the second division. Nevertheless, the relegation failed and the club was relegated back to the Oberliga Nord.

Capocchiano initially signed a contract with TSV 1860 Munich , who were promoted to the second division , but moved to Lazio Rome during the preparation for the season for a transfer fee of 180,000 DM . However, he could not prevail and came in Serie A only two appearances. So he left the club after a season again and hired at AS Bari in Serie B on. Here he was used more often, but could no longer build on his dangerous goals in the German second division. In 1994 he moved to the C1 series for Calcio Chieti . Here he played for two years before he let his career end with the lower class clubs US Latina and Rondinella Calcio .
