Zapponeta is a south-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3421 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Foggia in Apulia . The municipality is located about 34 kilometers east of Foggia on the Adriatic coast . Zapponeta borders directly on the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani .

history

From a settlement under the Baron Michele Zezza , the settlement Zapponeta emerged, which was part of the neighboring municipality Manfredonia until 1975 .
