Ordona is an Italian commune with 2869 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Foggia in Apulia . The municipality is located about kilometers from Foggia .

history

Ordona goes back to the ancient city of Herdonia , which was once the bishopric and is now run as the titular diocese of Erdonia of the Roman Catholic Church. It was the scene of clashes during the Punic Wars , particularly in 212 and 210 BC. When battles broke out between the Romans and the Carthaginians under Hannibal .
