Casalnuovo Monterotaro is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1434 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Foggia in Apulia . The municipality is located about 40.5 kilometers west-northwest of Foggia , belongs to the Comunità Montana dei Monti Dauni Settentrionali and borders directly on the province of Campobasso ( Molise ). The Fortore forms the north-western boundary of the municipality.
