Poggio Imperiale is an Italian municipality (comune) with 2609 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Foggia in Apulia . The municipality is located about 39 kilometers north-northwest of Foggia .

The village was founded in 1759 by the Prince of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi , Placido Imperiale .
