Deliceto

Deliceto (in the local dialect: Rlcit ) is a south-east Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3671 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Foggia in Apulia . The municipality is located about 29 kilometers southwest of Foggia .

history

The Norman castle of Deliceto

The municipality of Deliceto was probably settled for the first time between 800 and 900. The castle was built by the Normans from the 10th century . At times the community was then subordinate to the Duke of Benevento .

The station is in the municipality of Bovino ( Bovino-Deliceto ) on the Caserta – Foggia railway line .
