The Berenbosteler See is a lake in the Hanover region . The lake is located on the western outskirts of Garbsen between the federal highway 2 and the federal highway 6 . It is a former clay pit of a brick factory .
The lake is located in a local recreation area , the approximately 20 hectare "Park am Berenbosteler See", with play facilities for children and a restaurant north of the lake. The lake is used a lot by water birds.
