The Mountains of German-Soviet Friendship are a small group of mountains west of the Rayner Glacier in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . They are located around 70 kilometers southeast of Molodjoschnaja Station .
Participants of the 8th Antarctic Expedition Group of the GDR , a wintering group for the 17th Soviet Antarctic Expedition , named the mountains in 1972 as thanks for the longstanding Soviet support of their work after the German-Soviet friendship .
