history

The tunnel was muted on July 12, 1854 . With the assumption, the right to inherit the tunnel was applied for. At this point in time, the tunnel was at least 250 laughs long . It was planned to drive the tunnel further east. In 1857 the right to inherit the tunnel was granted . After the award, the tunnel was driven further east. In 1862 the excavation of the Erbstollen was deferred at a length of 681 laughs . The reason for this measure was the inadequate weather conditions in the tunnel. In the same year, the tunnel set up near the fourth main fault and driven from the Prudent seam towards the Bergmann seam was further driven. With a driveway length of 33 1/8 Lachter, the seam was reached. The seam was 33 inches thick , of which three inches were tailings . At that time, the Bergmann Erbstollen was part of the Witten mining area . In 1863 the tunnel in the President Seam reached a length of 717 1/2 lights. The seam was regularly pronounced in the entire area. On April 24, 1871, the miner consolidated the Erbstollen to form the Bergmann colliery . In 1960 the tunnel was found closed. On March 14th of the same year, the right to inherit tunnels was revoked by the Mining Authority.
