Report of the Roman-Germanic Commission

The yearbook report of the Roman-Germanic Commission ( BerRGK ) is the organ of the Roman-Germanic Commission of the German Archaeological Institute .

The reports of the Roman-Germanic Commission were founded in 1904 as a report on the progress of Roman-Germanic research [in the year ....] . With the fourth edition, the current title and Frankfurter / M. Verlag Baer for the Mainz publishing house Philipp von Zabern . In addition to the reports on the excavations and other projects of the commission, the annual report of the commission and the lecture for the annual meeting are printed in the yearbook. Thematically, the articles are primarily about the prehistory and early history of ancient Europe from the Stone Ages to the Middle Ages . There are generally no general studies apart from the activity reports.

The articles are often supplemented with photo boards in black and white and color. It is not uncommon for the yearbook to include detailed, large-format maps.
