Johann III. Romka
Johann III. Romka († November 19, 1301 ) was Prince-Bishop of Wroclaw .
Career
Johann Romka is mentioned for the first time in a document dated June 3, 1267 as a chaplain and is attested as a master's degree for this year . In 1268 he became canon in Breslau. In the conflict between Bishop Thomas II and Duke Heinrich IV , he was on the side of the bishop.
After the death of Bishop Thomas II , Johann Romka was elected as his successor by the cathedral chapter on April 24, 1292.
It is known from his official acts that he consecrated the monastery and church in Grüssau and convened a diocesan synod in 1295 . The cathedral construction begun by Thomas I was continued.
