The Berlin Comedian Harmonists are an internationally successful German vocal ensemble from Berlin that is committed to the repertoire of the Comedian Harmonists .

Emergence

The Berlin Comedian Harmonists emerged from the ensemble of the world premiere of the play "Veronika, der Lenz ist da - Die Comedian Harmonists", which premiered on December 19, 1997 at the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin . Its founding members included Günter Barton (2nd baritone ), Olaf Drauschke (1st baritone), Horst Maria Merz (piano), Holger Off (1st tenor ), Tilmann F. Rönnebeck ( bass ) and Marco Woytowicz (2nd tenor) .

Over the years the ensemble has changed, the position of 2nd tenor was replaced with Ralf Steinhagen, that of 2nd baritone with Philipp Seibert and in 2016 with Ulrich Bildstein and that of bass with Rolf Randolph and in 2005 with Wolfgang Höltzel .

The group experienced another major change in the ensemble when, in 2018, first the position of 2nd tenor was replaced with Norbert Kohler and then the pianist with Nikolai Orloff.

Career

Due to the great success of the play "Veronika der Lenz is here - The Comedian Harmonists", the actors were asked more and more often for gala performances and concerts outside the theater. The Berlin Comedian Harmonists are now internationally successful. You have made guest appearances at home and abroad, for example in Australia , the USA , South America , Spain , Italy , France and Switzerland . Their repertoire includes the well-known hits of the original Comedian Harmonists , but also their own arrangements of well-known hits to their own compositions such as "Sabine", "Hummerschwanz" or "Se dici di lasciarmi" and the like. a. The operetta "Frau Luna" was rewritten by Paul Lincke exclusively for the Berlin Comedian Harmonists . The version for six men and two women entitled “The Comedian Harmonists visit Ms. Luna” (written and directed by Jürgen Wölffer, musical arrangements: Peter Schirmann) premiered on March 22nd, 2006 in the Hameln City Theater . At the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm, Berlin, the comedy "Café ohne Aussicht" (written by Anne X. Weber, director and musical arrangements: Franz Wittenbrink ) premiered on March 2nd, 2014 .

Since 2009 the Berlin Comedian Harmonists have been regular guests with André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra, with whom they have already completed several concert tours through Europe as well as South and North America.
