The Berlin football championship of the DFuCB in 1897/98 was the seventh football championship held in Berlin under the German Football and Cricket Association (DFuCB) . A number of clubs left the association during the current season. The reason for this was the growing dissatisfaction with the association's management. With this, the creeping decline of the DFuCB continued. The BFC Vorwärts 1890 became football champions of the DFuCB for the first time .

There has not yet been a national German soccer championship .

The day before, the BTuFC Viktoria left the DFuCB. This exit triggered a veritable avalanche and other clubs followed. The games BTuFC Viktoria against BCuFC Eintracht on January 23rd u. BTuFC Viktoria against BFC Vorwärts on January 30th only took place as friendly matches. These have therefore not been taken into account in the table. The BTuFC Allemania left the DFuCB at the end of 1897.
