Berlin gramophonist

The Berlin Grammophoniker are a musical ensemble from Berlin , which is preferably the upscale film and popular music and operetta lists and original compositions. The maintenance and contemporary interpretation of the musical heritage of German light music is the focus of her artistic work. Compositions by well-known sound artists such as Franz Grothe , Michael Jary , Robert Stolz , Friedrich Schröder , Theo Mackeben , Ralph Benatzky or Werner Richard Heymann , as the founder of the sound film operetta, are an integral part of their extensive repertoire.

The ensemble consists of six musicians with an unusual instrumental line-up and the classical vocal soloist Heiko Reissig (tenor, artistic director). In addition, changing guest soloists appear. In 2002 her first CD Herzensbrecher was released , the name of which is also borne by a subsequent tour of Germany to this day. Since it was founded in 1999, the Berliner Grammophoniker have performed various programs at concerts, guest performances, galas, events (including Expo 2000 ) and festivals (including Elbland Festival ). In 2009 the Berlin gramophonists celebrated their 10th stage anniversary with a grand operetta gala in the Berlin Philharmonie.

The Europäische Kulturwerkstatt eV (EKW) promotes the artistic work of the Berlin gramophonists, as the “musical ambassadors of the capital Berlin” in their extensive maintenance of tradition and heritage in the field of upscale light music.
