Berlin Residence Orchestra

The Berliner Residenzorchester is a chamber music orchestra that was founded in 2006 and consists of international musicians , which mainly performs in the context of the Berlin Residence Concerts. The concert master is the German violinist and composer Vladi Corda .

The orchestra has so far given around 2000 performances as part of the Berlin Residence Concerts. The Great Orangery at Charlottenburg Palace is a regular venue . Repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries was played here in particular. Further performances will take place in the new wing of the castle. On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the ensemble performed in 2016 in the Berlin Cathedral and in the chamber music hall of the Philharmonie Berlin .

The orchestra realizes CD and DVD recordings. Smaller ensembles within the orchestra design and present their own concert programs. The Berlin Residence Orchestra maintains a partnership with the Hanns Eisler University of Music and the University of the Arts in Berlin and is committed to promoting young talent.

Soloists

Soloists of the orchestra are or were Alena Karmanova and Sara Gouzy (soprano), Irina Nikolskaya (mezzo-soprano), Ulf Dirk Mädler, Tadeusz Milewski, Denis Milo and Andrej Rostov (baritone), and Georg Arssenij Bochow (countertenor).
