Vladimir Corda is a German violinist and composer .

Life

As a child of musicians, he received violin lessons at the age of five and performed at his first public concert at the age of seven. At the age of eight he composed his first piano piece. Corda received an instrumental training at the National Music Academy in Kiev . In 1989 he won the 1st Prize Violin Competition of the USSR. As a soloist in the orchestra of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Moscow , he also played for Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Jelzin in 1991 and appeared in several theater productions at the Odessa stories ( Taganka Theater Moscow), Junona i Avos ( Lenkom Theater Moscow), Alie Parusa ( Ivan Frank Theater in Kiev) and Best of Humor ( Theater of the Russian Army Moscow).

Vladi Corda became a member of the soloist ensemble Kyivska kamerata during his studies in 1992 . From 1994 onwards, as a soloist with the Kiev Chamber Orchestra, he undertook numerous tours through Europe, the USA and Mexico and played in major concert halls such as Carnegie Hall , the Concertgebouw , the Gewandhaus and the Berlin Philharmonic . At the same time he organized the artists' get-togethers at the Kiev theater .

Between 1995 and 1997 he also worked as a lecturer and head of the string instruments department at the National Music Academy of Ukraine Peter Tchaikovsky in Kiev.

Since 1998 Vladi Corda has performed at various festivals and within the framework of the cultural program of the Central Council of Jews in Germany with the Trio Arco and Duo Cordi he founded .

From 2003 to 2004 he was concertmaster of the Camerata Instrumentale Berlin, from 2002 to 2006 1st concertmaster of the Potsdam Chamber Academy and from 2004 to 2006 deputy concertmaster of the Prussian Chamber Orchestra . From 2003 Corda appeared as a soloist at the 52nd Festival Internacional de Santander (FIS) in Spain, in Turin , Sofia and in 2008 in Antalya . At the same time, Vladi Corda was seen in various theater performances. Since 2008 he has been the organizer, artistic director and concert master of the Berlin Residence Orchestra . He organized numerous concerts in the Berlin Philharmonie, the Berlin Cathedral and Konzerthaus Berlin, played at the inauguration of the German President in 2010. Since 2000, Vladi Corda has created numerous compositions for the Kulturforum Stiftung Berlin, which he premiered together with the legendary organist Lothar Knappe.

Private

In 2006 Corda took on German citizenship .
