Bernard A. Confer
Bernard A. Confer (* 1914 ; † 1988 in Teaneck , New Jersey ) was an American association official.
Career
Confer graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1934 . In 1946, after leaving the army, he joined the Lutheran World Relief aid organization . He was appointed administrative secretary in 1948 and managing director in 1953. He remained in this position until his retirement in 1981.
He was also Chairman of CRALOG and President of the Teaneck Board of Education from 1962 to 1968.
He died of leukemia in his home in September 1988 .
