Bernard Bocian

Bernard Bocian (born January 26, 1974 in Poznań ) is a former Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

In 1992 his international career began by winning the silver medal in the team time trial at the UCI Road World Championships for Juniors (with Piotr Przydział in the team, among others ). He qualified for the world championship by winning the junior time trial championship. In the following years he won several titles at national championships: he won the individual time trial in 1994 and 1995, in the team time trial in 1995 and in mountain driving in 1994. There were further podium places up to 2000. In 2000, he also won the Berlin stage race .

He drove the International Peace Tour in 1994 (47th place), in 1998  he retired.

Teams

He started cycling in the Lech Poznań club . In 1996 and 1997 he rode in the Mróz team , in 1998 in the Sprandi Wulkan Częstochowa team , in 1999 with Lukullus Banaszek Sport , and in 2000 with Servisco .

doping

In 2000 he tested positive for a doping agent . He then ended his career.
