Bernard Croft, 3rd Baron Croft

Bernard William Henry Page Croft, 3rd Baron Croft (born August 28, 1949 ) is a British peer and non-party politician . He is also active in publishing.

life and career

Croft was born on August 28, 1949 to Michael Croft, 2nd Baron Croft (1916-1997) and Lady Antoinette Frederica Hersey Cecilia Conyngham († 1959). He is a nephew of Fred Uhlmann . He attended the Stowe School in Buckinghamshire . He graduated from the University of Wales with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in economics .

Croft was active in publishing . He lives in Kingsland , Herefordshire (as of 2003).

He is currently not a member of the Hereditary Peerage Association .

Membership in the House of Lords

After the death of his father in 1997 he inherited the title of Baron Croft and the then associated seat in the House of Lords . He lost this through the House of Lords Act 1999 . He did not run for one of the remaining seats. He is currently not on the Register Of Hereditary Peers , which are available for by-election. (As of May 2012)

family

He married Mary Elizabeth Richardson, the daughter of James Richardson, in 1993. Since he has no children, there is currently no legacy for the title.

He mentions shooting, fishing and skiing as hobbies.
