Bernard Heidsieck

Bernard Heidsieck (born November 28, 1928 in Paris ; † November 22, 2014 there ) was one of the first French sound poets . He was close to the beat , fluxus and minimalism .

life and work

Bernard Heidsieck was born in 1928 into the champagne dynasty Heidsieck & Co , founded in 1785 . He was Deputy Director of the Banque Française du Commerce Extérieur in Paris and Director of the Commission Poésie at the Center National du Livre . Heidsieck married Françoise Janicot (* 1929) in 1951 and had two children with her.

In 1955 Heidsieck composed the first sound poems, the Poèmes partitions, and since 1962 has also devoted himself to action poetry . Between 1966 and 1969 he composed the biopsies , since 1969 the passe- partouts . Vaduz-Capital of Liechtenstein (1974) is one of his most famous works.
