Bernard Oyharçabal (2015)

Beñat Oihartzabal Bidegorri (in French also Bernard Oyharçabal ; born March 17, 1949 in Paris ) is a Basque writer and expert in the linguistic fields of syntax, morphology and code switching and research director at the CNRS (the French Center national de la recherche scientifique ).

He is also a researcher at the Royal Academy of the Basque Language and leads various projects such as ACOBA (code change for bilingual Basque speakers), NORANTZ (observation of new Basque learners) and HIPVAL (history of the population groups and linguistic variation in the Western Pyrenees).

At the beginning of 2009, Ricardo Etxepare, member of the Lapurdum editorial team, took over the management of the IKER (Research Center for Basque Texts and Language).
