Bernard Václav Štiasný
Bernard Václav Štiasný (also: Štasný , * 1760 in Prague ; † 1835 ibid) was a Czech cellist and composer .
Life
The son of the oboist Jan Štiasný worked as a cellist in the Prague Theater Orchestra from 1796 and was a cello teacher at the Prague Conservatory from 1811 to 1822 . František Jan Štiasný was his brother.
He composed mainly didactic cello pieces, the best known of which are Il maestro ed il scolare and 8 imitazioni e 6 pezzi con fughe .
