František Jan Štiasný
František Jan Štiasný (also Štasný , * 1764 in Prague ; † around 1830 in Mannheim ) was a Czech cellist and composer.
Life
The son of the oboist Jan Štiasný worked in Prague and in various other cities in Europe. a. in Nuremberg, London and Paris as a cello virtuoso and finally settled in Mannheim as a member of the court orchestra. He composed duets and sonatas for two cellos, a divertissement and a grand trio for viola and cellos, a concertino for flute, viola and cellos and solos for cello and figured bass. His brother Bernard Václav Štiasný was also known as a composer.
