Bernard Verdier is a former French racing car driver and politician.

Career in motorsport

Bernard Verdier competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours twice in his career . On his debut in 1979 he drove a Chevron B36 and finished the race with his partners Noël del Bello and Albert Dufréne in 22nd place overall. A year later it failed prematurely after a defect in the cylinder head gasket on the Lola T298 .

His best finish in international sports car racing was the fourth overall in the the World Sportscar Championship in 1979 scoring six-hour race at Vallelunga .

Politician

Bernard Verdier has been the General Councilor of the Canton Castelnau-Magnoac since 1988 .
