Albert Dufrene
Albert Dufréne (born August 26, 1946 ) is a former French racing driver and entrepreneur.
La Tarte Tropézienne
1985 Albert Dufrene took over in Saint-Tropez by the founder Alexandre Micka its Pâtisserie La Tarte Tropézienne in which the regional of brioche and cream existing specialty of the same name was made and will. Today Dufréne runs the company with his son and has been selling the tart, the recipe of which is still kept secret, in another pâtisserie in Paris since 2013 .
Career in motorsport
In the 1970s, Dufréne was active as a sports car driver for a few years. During this time he mainly competed in the Le Mans 24-hour race . He made his debut in 1975 as a partner of François Sérvanin and Jacques Henry on a Lola T294 . The trio finished the race in 24th place in the overall classification. In 1977 he finished the race in sixth place, which is noteworthy for an amateur racing driver. It had its last start at Le Mans in 1979 . He was able to finish the race again, this time in 22nd place.
Apart from Le Mans, he only competed in one other sports car race. When the World Sportscar Championship in 1977 scoring 500-km race at Le Castellet he fell on a Chevron B31 prematurely.
