Alain Flotard

Alain Flotard (born December 15, 1950 ) is a former French racing car driver and aviator.

Career in motorsport

Alain Flotard was active in sports car racing in the 1970s . In 1973 and 1974 he competed in the Tour de France for automobiles . In 1973 he drove a Ford Capri RS to 17th place overall.

In 1976 and 1977 he competed in the Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1976 the journey with partners Albert Dufréne and Fred Stalder ended after a defect in the oil pump of the Chevron B36 after 241 laps. In 1977 the Chevron B36 used failed again due to a defect.

Flotard was active for many years as a pilot of historic aircraft and organized air shows.
