Bernard van Dierendonck

Bernard van Dierendonck (* 1964 ) is a Dutch photographer , journalist and mountain guide .

Bernard van Dierendonck studied agricultural science for three years and specialized in digital photography . The enthusiastic mountaineer writes and photographs for daily newspapers and international mountaineering magazines as a freelancer and works as a qualified mountain guide. His photos have been reprinted by Welt am Sonntag , the Swiss Sunday newspaper , the Evening Standard and The Times , among others . In 2006, his work was honored with the Wildlife Photographer of the Year , the most important nature photography award in the world. The photo agency LOOK, Munich, is responsible for the exclusive marketing of its image material .

Bernard van Dierendonck lives with his family in Zurich and is involved with the Swiss Greenpeace against nuclear energy .
