Bernardo de Irigoyen (Misiones) is the capital of the General Manuel Belgrano Department in the Misiones Province in northeast Argentina . It is the easternmost city in Argentina and, due to its location on the Cerro Barracón (835 m), the highest city in the province. In the classification of the municipalities of the province, the place belongs to the municipalities of the 2nd category.

You can reach Bernardo de Irigoyen via the Ruta Nacional 14 , which connects the Argentine Mesopotamia with the rest of the country. It is a border town with Brazil on the so-called "dry border" ( Frontera Seca ) with an important border crossing. The two cities on the Brazilian side are called Dionisio Cerqueira ( Santa Catarina ) and Barracão ( Paraná ).
