Bernd-Peter Lange (economist)

Bernd-Peter Lange (born December 8, 1938 in Hamburg ) is a former German university professor for economic theory and head of the European Media Institute in Düsseldorf .

Life

Bernd-Peter Lange graduated from high school in Koblenz in 1958, then studied law and economics at the University of Bonn and graduated with the first state examination at the Cologne Higher Regional Court . In 1966 he obtained a diploma in economics . In 1967 he started working on constitutional problems in connection with auditing and the court of auditors. An attempt to interpret Article 114 of the Basic Law in Bonn on Dr. jur. PhD . He then worked as a research assistant at the "Institute for Concentration Research" at the Free University of Berlin until 1971, and in 1971 was an assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics. In 1973, Lange was appointed professor of economic theory at the University of Osnabrück . From 1985 to 1987 he was Dean of his Faculty of Social Sciences. Membership in commissions or management: KtK commission for the expansion of the technical communication system 1974/75; Research accompanying the BTX field trial 1980–83; Accompanying research to the cable pilot project Dortmund 1984–89; ISDN Research Commission NRW Integrated Services Digital Network, 1989–1995, Chairman; From 1993 to 1999, Bernd-Peter Lange headed the European Media Institute in Düsseldorf and founded the “European Center for Media Competence” in Marl. In 2001 he received the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class . 1999 return to the University of Osnabrück. In spring 2004, Lange retired .
